Beautiful large screen with great features

This is a very large screen computer that is great for a whole family to use or to put in a home office. This screen is enormous and the picture quality is fantastic. You can definitely tell this is 1080 p HD. Setup is easy, but make sure you don't miss the little USB connector for the mouse and keyboard when you are unloading your box. It could be easy to miss. Basically you put the supplied batteries in there, connect the USB and turn on the computer and you are good to go. You will then go through the setup for your windows 8. I suggest doing a little research on setting up Windows 8 beforehand because there is definitely a learning curve there. If you are struggling, just click on the desktop icon and go from there to do your normal browsing.
The previous reviewer gave the computer a not so good score because of Windows 8. I admit my frustration with that software has made me more frustrated that I should be and is what I like least about having this computer. However, after you get used to it, it becomes much easier to navigate. I basically avoid a lot of the apps and just surf the way I normally do except I do take advantage of the touchscreen. It is awesome and works great.
The computer as a whole works well and runs seamlessly. I've experienced no bugs or glitches thus far. The keyboard and mouse are wireless and you can keep it on your lap if you'd like. It's great that there is no longer a tower with desktops and the profile is so slim on the monitor so you don't need too much space for this. I can see it in a kitchen, a family room, or an office. Let me know if you have any questions but it seems to be a great computer thus far.

Windows 8.1

I started personal computing with an Apple 2E, progressed to MS DOS and on to each stage and development. Even liked Vista BUT Windows 8.1 is an abomination. I have spent hours trying to fathom it's workings and it is just impossible. Now wonder Microsoft is chucking out CEO Baulmer (SP). Sales are any thing but robust for computers and Windows 8 and 8.1 are the answer. Am I glad I purchased this machine from a retailer that will take it back.
