Series 7 v. imac
By King James
The overall design of this computer is what drew me to it. Never-mind the specs, I was looking for all in one computer because I hate computers that have all these different chords coming in and out of it. I was looking for a computer that had a simple elegant design first and foremost. Secondly, I wanted a machine that had decent specs so that I can play games on it occasionally. I also needed decent hard drive space for all my movies. At first I was thinking Apple's iMac. I was about to go get it until I saw this Samsung All-In-One computer. The iMac was about 1500 dollars but it had a lesser Core i5 processor and had a weak 500 mb video card. The Samsung Series 7 was better in all categories of specs than the iMac offered. Of course if you like Apple's operating system then the iMac might be for you, but I'm happy with the windows operating system. I also picked the Series 7 because it was nice looking, something that other all-in-one manufacturers failed to do in their all-in-one computers. Further, this computer has a touch screen. I can't say that I even use the touch screen that much. I've probably touched 27 inch screen maybe a dozen times. I still interact with my computer from the mouse and the keyboard but it's still nice to have. I've had this computer for about a year now and when I first bought it it was blazingly fast and responsive. Now, like all other computers over time, the Series 7 is a bit laggy even when I keep my hard drive 10% full. Still, its very fast and I have no complaints about the speed of the computer as it reboots in less than a minute. The Series 7 also comes with some useful add-ons that Samsung gives me the option to install. Things like quick starter that allow for fast rebooting of the computer and constant updates so that the computer stays smooth. I appreciate this as it allows for a better interaction with the computer. The few things that I didn't like about the Series 7 were some minor things. One was that the keyboard that comes with the computer is decent but it doesn't come with number keys on the side; it only has them on the top of the letter keys. I like using the number pad on my keyboard so that was kind of something I was looking for. The included mouse was great though. Secondly, I occasionally play games on the Series 7. I play games like Civilization 5. The Series 7 has a pretty decent discreet video card (Radeon 1 GB). But, it seems that if I run too many things at once while playing games or if I run a graphics intense game, the computer gets really hot and occasionally it will just turn itself off especially in the summer time. Luckily I'm not a heavy gamer so this wasn't too much of an issue for me but if you're a gamer this computer may not be for you despite the graphics capabilities. One great thing I did notice about the Series 7 is that even when it is running labor intensive applications, the computer is very quiet. It never gets noisy even when the fan is running. Overall, this is probably the best computer I've ever owned and I have very few complaints about it. If you're looking for something comparable to the iMac but in a windows computer, this is the right computer for you.

nice system but do not try to upgarde
By d arivas
This system gets delivered with windows 8, also known as the new Vista. In case you try updating to the slightly better version windows 8.1 the system fails to update. There is an error code 0xc1900101-0x30018 which is discussed all over the web but no solution is apparent. The search on the Samsung Support website does not even show the error code.
Samsung tech support enlightened me that they are only supporting this unit on windows 8 and not windows 8.1. Pretty poor statement as we just took this unit out of the box.
A system which cannot be updated is basically useless within the shortest of time.
Stay away from this one.

This thing is awesome, The windows 8 in combination with the touch screen takes a bit of getting used to, but the potential is fantastic.
